The Cyber Security session was aimed to acquaint employees with the prevailing cyber security threats and educate them about the safety and security measures to adopt while using the internet and various applications. ACP Vishal Dhume (Crime) was the chief guest of the program, PI Gautam Patare and PSI Amol Patodkar conducted the session as our Guest speakers. Mr. Gautam Patare has over 25 years of work experience in the police services and presently working in the Cybercrime department. He was also instrumental in setting up the cyber cell of the Aurangabad city police force.
The session began with a discussion about the latest cybercrimes being committed around the country, with a quick exercise where participants were asked to check whether their email address is secure or not. Employees were made aware of the followings:
- The precautions one must take especially during online transactions
- How frequently you should change your passwords
- Using 2-Factor authentication while using various applications.
The team shared some real-life cases and experiences with all the attendees and made everyone aware of how not to become a victim of such traps.
